How many triple headers will there be in the 2024 Formula 1 season?
The 2024 Formula 1 calendar features three triple headers. One of the triple headers takes place before the summer break, with the final two closing out the season. There will be six races in the final seven weeks of the season as Formula 1 ensures the travel for long distances is cut.
What is a triple header?
A triple header in Formula 1 means there are three weekends of consecutive Grand Prix action. A race will take place three weeks in a row. The very first triple header took place in 2018 and featured the French, Austrian and British Grands Prix. The format received some negative reviews from people within the paddock due to the heavy workload. There were no tripleheaders held during the 2019 season.
The 2020 season kicked off with a triple header. The whole calendar had to be reshuffled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The first two races occurred at the same venue, with a short trip to Hungary taking place a week later. A similar event occurred later in the season when two races were held in Italy in consecutive weeks following the Belgian Grand Prix. They also concluded the 2020 season with a triple header.
How many triple headers in the 2024 Formula 1 season?

This will take place on the final two weekends of June and the first weekend of July. The second triple header is rounds 19-21 in USA, Mexico and Brazil. The final triple header is rounds 22-24, featuring Las Vegas, Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
