Sky Sports have held exclusive rights to broadcast F1 in the United Kingdom since 2012. With at least 22 Grands Prix on the calendar, their team of pundits and analysts has grown over the years. This team includes former F1 drivers, former F1 engineering staff and other ex-drivers from around the world.

Who are the Sky Sports F1 analysts?

Because there are so many races in modern Formula 1, Sky Sports bring a different team of analysts and pundits to each Grand Prix. They have a pool of staff members to choose from at each race. This team includes former F1 drivers, former F1 engineering staff and other ex-drivers from around the world.

Jenson Button

The 2009 Formula 1 World Champion often appears in the commentary box and in front of the camera to offer his knowledge of what it's like being a Formula 1 driver. Button has been working with the Sky Sports F1 team since 2018. He currently lives in the United States, so he is a popular choice when the F1 circus travels to that part of the world. He also appears on the Sky Sports cameras in some European races, most frequently the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

Nico Rosberg

The 2016 Formula 1 World Champion also appears in the commentary box and in front of the camera. The German can speak several languages, so he is in high demand from various broadcasters when at a Grand Prix. Rosberg is still close friends with many drivers and team bosses, so he isn't afraid to ask hard-hitting questions. He is also strongly opinionated and often quite blunt, which is popular among British audiences. Rosberg missed several races during the COVID-19 pandemic because he wasn't allowed in the paddock. This was because he opted against having the vaccine.

Martin Brundle

Brundle is often found alongside David Croft in the commentary box or on the grid for Brundle's famous grid walk. However, he offers plenty of analysis in front of the camera and often gives his opinion on trending topics. He first started commentating alongside Murray Walker in the 1990s and is, therefore, one of the most experienced broadcast members on the Sky Sports team.

Damon Hill

The 1996 Formula 1 World Champion has been with Sky Sports since they bought the broadcast rights in 2012. Hill is always detailed in giving the drivers' perspective, but he also makes a lot of packages for Sky about the history of Formula 1.

Karun Chandhok

The former Formula 1 driver is often seen operating the SkyPad. Before races, he often shows the start from the previous Grands Prix on the same circuit. After each session, he usually replays the fastest lap or any crashes to judge who is at fault. He can also be found in the commentary box during practice or in the pitlane when Ted Kravtiz is not at the circuit.

Ted Kravitz

Kravitz is Sky Sports' lead pit reporter and can be found at most Grands Prix on the calendar. During each session, he often cuts in on the commentary to offer interesting insight into what's occurring in the pits. He is also well known for the show 'Ted's Notebook'. An unscripted show that summarises the events after qualifying/sprint race and Grand Prix.

Naomi Schiff

Schiff is one of the newer members of the Sky Sports team. She is a professional racing driver who competed in the W-Series and is a Diversity and Inclusion Ambassador.

Danica Patrick

Patrick is one of the most popular female American racing drivers. Because of this, she is often broadcasting for Sky Sports when the F1 circus visits the United States, Mexico, Brazil or Canada. Though in 2023, she made an appearance at a European race.

Bernie Collins

Collins moved from Aston Martin to Sky Sports in the winter of 2022/23. She was a former race strategist at the Aston Martin F1 team and therefore provides brilliant insight into what a team might think regarding pit stops, tyres or run plans.

Anthony Davidson

Davidson joined Sky Sports for their inaugural season in 2012. Like Chandhok, he works on the SkyPad and covers the most essential parts of each session.
