The man who has not had to put up with anyone in front of him at all in 10 of the 12 races, still finished second behind Lando Norris in the second free practice session at Zandvoort. Max Verstappen is still very satisfied with his performance today, however. In front of GPblog, the Dutchman explains how things went on Friday.
"I tried some things with the car. I think FP2 was a little bit more difficult, but I think overall it was very difficult to get a clean lap, there were a lot of cars around, but it was fine. I mean, we have a few things that we want to improve, but overall it was quite a good day," the reigning world champion explained.

"No, it's just particular corners I was not really happy with the balance, so it's all about trying to sort that out a little bit," Verstappen said when asked about his cars' performance today: "As soon as you have the oversteer you don't want to spin or whatever, so you just go across the gravel trap, and it was all good."
The Dutchman will obviously want to take pole position in front of his home crowd at Zandvoort and win the race on Sunday: "It's fantastic to see all the orange already on the grandstand, it seems like also in between our sessions as well, they're having a bit of a party out there, so it's incredible to see."
