The announcement of the last available seat for Formula 1 in 2024 has finally arrived: Logan Sargeant will also be active for Williams next year. The American is extending his contract with the British formation.
Sargeant extends contract for Williams
It had been coming for a while that Sargeant would extend his contract. The rookie said he was looking forward to next season, and his team boss James Vowles was also already clearly hinting at a longer stay for the American at the Williams team.
2023 was a season full of ups and downs for Sargeant. He suffered the most damage during his season as a rookie, and he was knocked around quite a bit by his teammate Alexander Albon. Yet there were also highlights: he had a strong debut in Bahrain, and at his home race in Las Vegas, the American took his first Formula 1 points. So in 2024, he will get the chance to prove he can grab even more points for his team.
