Red Bull and Ferrari compared: 'The handling is so good with them'

Red Bull Racing enters the 2024 Formula 1 season as the benchmark against which the other teams must measure themselves. As such, comparisons between the Austrian racing stable and its rivals, in this case Ferrari, are in abundance.
Ferrari compared to Red Bull
Former F1 driver Anthony Davidson analyses the new SF-24 of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz at Sky Sports. "I think the car looks good to drive, maybe still a bit too hard on the tyres in race conditions. That's what all the other teams need to improve on last season," Davidson began.
He continues: "Compared to the Red Bull, the car bounces quite a bit. That's something Ferrari never quite got rid of. You see the front end going up and down, those inconsistencies in the changes of ride height that bounce off again as it goes over the bumps at Turn 1. It seems they still haven't fixed that, which I see as a weak link in the design philosophy at Ferrari."
"When I look at [Red Bull's] car, even on the straight the handling is SO good. It greatly benefits the aerodynamic performance of the car - but also the driver, because he can choose his braking point without his head bouncing up and down. It's not like before, but if you can also give the driver a bit more comfort, you will not only get more performance out of the car, but also out of the driver."
