A few days after his strong race in Bahrain, there are concerns about Carlos Sainz's physical condition. Although the Ferrari driver was in the F1 paddock in Jeddah on Wednesday, he has since left again. According to his team Ferrari, the Spaniard is not feeling well.

It is obviously too early to say whether participation in the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix will be in jeopardy for Sainz. Ferrari did not mention that in their brief to the media. Incidentally, it often happens that a driver does not feel 100 per cent during the so-called media day - like this Wednesday. As a precaution, they then often return to the hotel to recover for a while. In most cases, the driver returns to action the next day during the first free practice session.

Leclerc in press conference

Carlos Sainz, incidentally, was not expected at the international press conference, held at 18:30 local time. His teammate Charles Leclerc will be present there, however. Sainz was, however, expected in front of the television cameras. There is also usually a time when drivers exchange views with journalists individually and in a more informal setting. Sainz will not do that today.
