F1 standings drivers with Verstappen increases lead in title race
9 March at 19:01

Two Grands Prix, two wins. Max Verstappen has once again shown the world who is the absolute best driver in Formula 1. The Dutchman's victory in Saudi Arabia has already given him a nice lead in the championship.

Verstappen has already accumulated 15 more points than his teammate Sergio Perez. Charles Leclerc remains at least slightly ahead of the Red Bull drivers. Carlos Sainz dropped back considerably as he had to miss the race in Jeddah due to illness. This gave Oliver Bearman the chance to make his debut as an 18-year-old.

The Brit certainly did not disappoint. He captured six points in his first race, putting him just two points behind seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton. Nico Hulkenberg took the first point of 2024 for Haas.
