The Japanese weekend marks already the fourth Grand Prix of the season. Max Verstappen is out for revenge in Japan this weekend, after he failed to win at the Australian Grand Prix and had to retire his car because of a brake issue in his car. The last time the defending world champion failed to win a race, he bounced back immediately at Suzuka in 2023.

On the other hand, Ferrari are on a high after capping off a one-two finish in Melbourne. The Italian team seem to be the biggest challenger of Red Bull, but both Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc indicated over the press conference day that this will be a 'Red Bull circuit'. McLaren driver Lando Norris also acknowledged that they seem to be the third force at the moment.

The Suzuka Circuit is 5.807 kilometres (3.608 miles) long and has 18 corners. The driver competing in his home GP will be Yuki Tsunoda.
