Lewis Hamilton is having a difficult start to the 2024 season. The Briton has just 10 points to his name after four races and is regularly beaten by teammate George Russell. Despite this, the seven-time world champion remains combative and praises the team spirit within the Mercedes team.

Hamilton, who got his best result of this season in Bahrain with a seventh place, still hopes to win races with Mercedes this year. He even has sleepless nights because of it. "The ultimate thing that keeps me up at night is when are we looking to fight for wins? What can I do differently? What can I do better? How can I improve?"

Hamilton is not yet thinking of giving up

He also stresses that everyone at Mercedes is very close-knit and does everything possible to get the most out of the car. "We're [Mecedes] very, very united. Everyone's working incredibly hard, so we've got to continue at it," he said.

Hamilton continued: "What's really special about this team is we have amazing core values. The team continues to do its talking, not only on track but also off track. We're not delivering in terms of winning races like we exist to do, but it's not always about the destination, it's about the journey, right? And we're doing it together," Hamilton stated.
