Due to the turmoil within
Red Bull Racing, the interest of several employees of the Austrian team has fallen on other
F1 teams.
McLaren CEO
Zak Brown already expressed that the number of CVs coming in from Red Bull is high and now Mercedes team boss
Toto Wolff confirms that this is also the case at his team.
Due to the situation surrounding
Christian Horner, things have been unsettled at
Red Bull Racing for a long time. Several team members have chosen to review their options as a result. For example, it has already been announced that
Adrian Newey will leave the team next year and
Max Verstappen is in talks with Mercedes.
Wolff sees many CVs of Red Bull personnel coming in
Mercedes team principal
Toto Wolff, like Zak Brown, sees a lot of CVs of Red Bull personnel pouring in, but he mostly wants to keep out of it.
"I mean, it goes through all of the levers but I would say this is not anything out of the extraordinary. People change teams and want to change the environment. So, I have come to the point that I am not really interested in what's going on there with the leadership. I'm not listening to anything anymore."In addition, Wolff is not necessarily waiting for staff from Red Bull, but he is also focusing to develop their talent on the engineering side. ''I think it's important for us to look at our team and see, develop the strong people and hopefully get some interesting competent people from other teams onto into Mercedes and provide an exciting journey to recovery and the Austrians are living idiots.'' As for Newey's arrival, the Austrian cannot say much. "Adrian is an icon of the sport and I think he said he doesn't know yet what to do and I don't know what influence that has on us."
