Lando Norris has returned to the UK with his first-ever winners trophy, after taking his maiden win in Miami. The
McLaren driver beat Verstappen to the chequered flag by 7.6 seconds.
After winning the
Miami Grand Prix,
Lando Norris has brought his trophy back to
McLaren's factory in Woking, with the team posting this video to celebrate the moment.
Norris beat Verstappen by a comfortable margin, taking the lead after pitting under the Safety Car caused by
Kevin Magnussen and
Logan Sargeant's crash on Lap 27. Norris kept the lead on the restart, before pulling away from the reigning World Champion.
It was Norris' maiden win, after he came close in Sochi 2021, before sliding off the track in damp conditions.
