Hamilton talks about urinating in an F1 car: "It's uncomfortable!"
As many F1 fans know, races last for at least an hour and a half, and that is without any stoppages due to crashes or reliability issues. As a result, they may be inclined to relieve the pressure on themselves by urinating in the car itself. While taking part in the 'Hot Ones' challenge for the First We Feast channel on YouTube, Lewis Hamilton spoke about the rare occasion that he did this himself.
Hamilton on urinating in the car: "Was really hard!"
The 'Hot Ones' challenge is one of the most popular series on YouTube, with many celebrities taking up the task of trying hot sauces while conducting a relaxed interview. These hot sauces get spicy as the video goes on.
While taking part in this, Hamilton was asked about the fact he takes his water out of the car to save weight during race weekends, to which he said, "I usually forgot to drink during the race. But quite a lot of drivers, as far as I am aware, pee in the car. But I just can't bring myself to do it!"
He was then asked if he had ever done it before in his career, and Hamilton confessed: "I have once. It was Singapore, and it was about two or three years ago. Basically, the safety car came out, and behind the safety car, I was like, 'I am dying!', and honestly, when you're bladder is full with the G-force that you are pulling, it's uncomfortable! And then when you're pulling that G-force, you just can't focus on your job. So, I remember trying to go, and I really had to force it. It was really hard! Luckily I've only had to do it once."
