Smiling Verstappen after P2 in Canada: 'This is what I'm signing for'

Max Verstappen set the same time as George Russell, but set that time later and therefore starts from P2.

''It is what it is. We just had a good qualifying. The whole weekend was a bit tricky for us. A P2 I would sign for that. Before qualifying I had definitely signed for that. That it was so close together makes it very interesting for tomorrow (Sunday),'' said Verstappen immediately after qualifying.

Verstappen will start the Grand Prix from second place. Behind Russell and Verstappen are the two McLarens, who went out earlier for a fast lap using different tactics. That seems to have paid off.
