Earlier this season, Ferrari have decided to make a change: Xavi Marcos was replaced by Bryan Bozzi as Charles Leclerc's race engineer. A new challenge for the Monegasque driver, as 'Xavi' was with him since he joined the Italian team back in 2019. Leclerc explained how it's been with Bozzi since the pair teamed up.

"It's going extremely well with Bryan. We've been working together since a very long time, Bryan was in a different position but it's going extremely well," Leclerc began to GPblog among others about his race engineer. Bozzi took over from Leclerc last race engineer, 'Xavi', at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix.

Leclerc believes Bozzi has proved he is able to step up to his new role at the team. "Honestly to start in such a difficult position, as a race engineer having to deal straight away with the communication with the driver is a big step forward and he's managed that perfectly. So can we get better? I think we can always get better." Together, the pair have already achieved a Grand Prix win in Monaco, but they also had to go through a challenging weekend in Canada.

"Can the relationship get better? I don't think so because we've got an extremely good relationship and just because we know each other since such a long time. But you always have to fine tune things and to adapt to new conditions. There are always things that you can improve, however I am extremely impressed by how well and how quickly he adapted to this position and about the incredible job he has done so far," Leclerc concluded, giving high praise to Bozzi.
