During the Grand Prix weekend in Spain, the
Formula 1 grid was closer together than expected. Yet for a while it looked like
Max Verstappen would run away with pole position again, but it was
Lando Norris who was narrowly quicker in the end.
Lewis Hamilton and
George Russell closed in on the second row.
Mercedes will start the GP of Spain from the second row. Behind them are
Charles Leclerc and
Carlos Sainz, followed by
Pierre Gasly and
Sergio Perez.
Esteban Ocon and
Oscar Piastri complete the top ten. Local hero Fernando Alonso came just a few hundredths short of making the top ten, starting from 11th.
