Despite strong competition from Lando Norris, Max Verstappen took victory in the Spanish Grand Prix. As a result, the Dutchman leads the Formula 1 championship again, while Norris takes over second place from Charles Leclerc.

Norris made Verstappen work for it, but the Dutchman managed to keep the McLaren driver behind. For Verstappen, it means he runs out, Norris climbs to second place and picks up an extra point for the fastest lap. Leclerc drops back to P3 as a result. For the rest, no changes in positions take place in the standings.
