Jos Verstappen not in action? Organisers in Austria can't confirm yet
The Red Bull Ring have not yet heard anything from Jos Verstappen. The circuit organising the Legends Parade are still assuming that Max Verstappen's father will step into the RB8 for a demo run.
Jos Verstappen was set to drive a demo in a Red Bull Racing car this weekend. The RB8, the Formula 1 car that was raced in the 2012 Formula 1 season, would be driven by Jos Verstappen at the track in Spielberg. The Spielberg circuit is still under the assumption that Verstappen will actually be in action, despite Horner's attempt to stop Verstappen from running.
Red Bull Ring still hoping for Jos Verstappen
Speaking to GPblog, a spokesperson for the circuit reveals that they have not been informed that Jos will not take part in the Legends Parade. The organisation in Spielberg is under the impression that Jos will be in action, but that remains to be seen after Jos' earlier statements.
The latter revealed earlier today: "Over the past few days I have heard from several quarters that Christian Horner has done everything he can to ensure that I will not drive. And to make sure otherwise that nothing would be filmed. Then I think: say it to my face. This way it doesn't have to be for me, I find it very disappointing."
There is no denying within Red Bull that Horner was certainly not in favour of Jos Verstappen giving a demo on behalf of the team. At the same time, Horner does not have the power to single-handedly remove Verstappen from participating in the demonstration.
