Enrico Cardile is stepping down as chassis are technical director at Ferrari with immediate effect. The Italian team have officially announced this. Team principal Fred Vasseur will temporarily take over his position.

"Scuderia Ferrari HP announces that Enrico Cardile is leaving the company, therefore relinquishing his role as Technical Director Chassis Area. After almost two decades with Ferrari, Cardile has handed in his notice and therefore, with immediate effect, and as an interim measure, the Chassis Area will be overseen by the Team Principal, Frederic Vasseur. Everyone at Scuderia Ferrari HP thanks Enrico for all his hard work over so many years," reads the statement from the Italian Formula One team.
Cardile started at Ferrari in 2005 on FIA GT Championship-related projects, overseeing aerodynamics. In 2016, he transferred to the Formula One team, where he started working as head of aerodynamics. In 2020, he was appointed head of the new Performance Development Department, to take charge of the chassis department in early 2021. In 2023, he was appointed technical director of chassis and aerodynamics. Cardile is rumored to have been snatched away by Lawrence Stroll. At Aston Martin, rumors say he would also take over as technical director, after the period of mandatory gardening leave. Nothing official has yet been announced about this possible move.
