Theo Pourchaire has lashed out in a post on X. The Frenchman disagrees with how his statements about Arrow McLaren have been put down.

In June, it was announced that Pourchaire was to leave Arrow McLaren. The IndyCar team had decided to replace him for Nolan Siegel after an incident. The choice was an unusual one, as he had signed a multi-season contract shortly before.

Pourchaire then responded that he was surprised and thought it was fake. He also said he was disgusted by the way it went down. Still, the 2023 Formula 2 champion disagrees with how these words were put down: "I am disappointed with how grossly inaccurate my words and comments portrayed my interview. Despite being surprised by Arrow McLaren's decision to take me out of the car for Laguna Seca, we parted on good terms."

He continued: "Of course, it is disappointing not to race with the team, but they respected the details in my contract. Zak [Brown], Gavin [Ward] and Tony [Kanaan], like the rest of the team, support me and my desire to come back in IndyCar or another racing class. There is no question about Arrow McLaren's stability in terms of collaborations and their funding, so for AUTOhebdo to have added that in my interview is absolutely untrue. I am grateful for the time with the team. There are no hard feelings and I hope this helps with correcting the view that there has been between me and the team."
