George Russell has been disqualified from the Belgian Grand Prix. The Mercedes driver originally won the race at Spa-Francorchamps, but his car was found to be 1.5 kilos too light after. Via social media, the driver who crossed the finish line first at Spa, reacted to his disqualification for the race.

"Heartbreaking...," is how the driver began his post on X, formerly known as Twitter. "We came in 1.5kg underweight and have been disqualified from the race. We left it all on the track today and I take pride in crossing the line first. There will be more to come" he concluded his message.

Teammate Lewis Hamilton is the new winner of the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa. The Mercedes driver had not managed to win a race since 2021, but that changed at the British Grand Prix, where he won. A few weeks later, he can now add another twenty-five points in the drivers' world championship.
