McLaren managed to improve their car massively over the 2024 season, but after the Miami Grand Prix, a second win is still yet to happen for Lando Norris. Moreover, at the Belgian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen managed to keep the Briton behind, and extended his lead over Norris. The McLaren driver answered whether he needs a reset entering the summer break at Spa.

After the controversial Hungarian Grand Prix, it was not a result Lando Norris had hoped for. He crossed the finish line in sixth place - and after George Russell's disqualification, he got promoted to P5. Starting from P3 on the grid, the Briton also made a mistake at the start and fell back to seventh place. Moreover, Norris finished behind Max Verstappen at the Belgian Grand Prix, and even as Dutchman had an engine penalty, he could still gain points the McLaren driver.

"Just forget about it [what happened]. I mean, still another week of debriefs and stuff, so I'm in the factory for half of next week. Just kind of review everything and then look over everything and make sure we take a break on a good note, which I think we have, honestly. I feel like there are a lot of positives here, just things that haven't played for us, but I feel like we've still got what we need and what we want," Norris began to explain to GPblog among others whether he needs a reset.

Norris believes it has been a positive season so far. "I'm happy. We've got what it takes to fight and to put up a good battle, but I've just not been on it from my side. So review my things, and then go away and forget about it for a good time, and then come back strong," he concluded.

The driver born is Bristol now trails Max Verstappen by 78 points in the Drivers' World Standings.
