Verstappen reacts to alleged meeting with Toto Wolff

Max Verstappen has reacted to the alleged meeting between him, his management and Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff after qualifying for the Dutch Grand Prix - in which he managed to capture P2. It is no secret that the Austrian is eager to bring Verstappen to Mercedes. But about a meeting, Verstappen says he "knows nothing".
Verstappen: 'What meeting?'
Speaking to De Telegraaf recently, Wolff indicated that he would love to work with Verstappen. But Mercedes previously indicated - including to GPblog - that the triple world champion does not seem to be an option for 2025.
At the press conference, Verstappen was asked if he has had a meeting with Toto Wolff, or if his management has. "What meeting?", Verstappen responded. He was then asked if that was just his management in talks with Mercedes, to which Verstappen again responded, "I don't remember."
Asked if it is now time for Wolff to move on and no longer concern himself with Verstappen, the Red Bull driver replied: "No, everyone can say what they want and I get on very well with Toto. I think he's very open about what's happening within his team. Also, I think with the driver lineup and stuff there's nothing wrong with that and at the same time I just focus on my job there's a lot to do anyway, so we just focus on that."
Verstappen is currently in full swing at the Dutch Grand Prix. At the Zandvoort circuit, he captured second place behind Lando Norris, who was three-tenths faster. Should Verstappen win the race, he will - in precisely his 200th Grand Prix - be tied with Jim Clark for the most wins in the Netherlands.
