Jos Verstappen took part in the Omloop van Vlaanderen last weekend. Together with co-driver Renaud Jamoul, he eventually achieved second place. The Dutchman looks back on this performance with satisfaction.

The Omloop van Vlaanderen is part of the Belgian Rally Championship. Verstappen drove around this weekend in a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 car. On Friday, the Dutchman was already very pleased with the duo's performance.

On Saturday, Verstappen managed to hold on to second place and eventually drag it in. Cédric Cherain, together with Damien Withers, won the rally. ''It went well, but Cherain was fast everywhere and made no mistakes,'' Verstappen told Verstappen.com.

''I am very satisfied with second place. It is the best we could get. Of course, you always want more, and we tried everything, spoke a lot to figure out what we could do to make the car better. But this was the fastest it could go. This was the maximum, and we have to be satisfied with that,'' said Verstappen senior.
