What time does the United States Grand Prix start?
Formula 1 is back after the three-week autumn break with action getting back underway in Austin, Texas for the United States Grand Prix. With just six races to go, this sprint weekend will be yet another vital race, as the drivers' and constructors' title battles continue to build up, with Lando Norris hoping to continue to close the gap to Max Verstappen.
What is the schedule for the United States Grand Prix?
The United States Grand Prix around the Circuit of The Americas will take place between October 18 and October 20. With six races remaining, three of them are sprint races, and this race weekend at COTA is one of them. This means that there will only be one free practice session on Friday, followed by sprint qualifying for the sprint race on Saturday. Qualifying for the main race will take place before the sprint race, and then as it always is, Sunday will be Grand Prix day.
With more points on offer for this race weekend, it gives Norris the perfect opportunity to cut the 52-point deficit by a substantial margin. The McLaren driver will be hoping his domination from the Singapore Grand Prix last time out will continue, while Red Bull will be hoping that they can close a 41-point gap that has been built up by McLaren thanks to their consistent pace throughout 2024. It's set up to be a fantastic weekend in the USA.
