Despite Sergio Perez failing to score a point, Red Bull Racing has reduced their gap to McLaren in the Constructors' World Championship after the sprint race in Austin. Oscar Piastri also finished outside the points, so the top changes match the Drivers' Championship between Lando Norris and Max Verstappen.

Ferrari scored a total of 12 points and, therefore, scored more points than any other constructor in the sprint race. Red Bull (Verstappen) scored a total of eight points, with McLaren (Norris) securing six. Red Bulls gap has been cut to 39 points with six Grands Prix and two sprint races remaining.

Mercedes will be pleased to score seven points, but it looked like George Russell would score more. Haas will be delighted to have picked up three points as both Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen scored points. They move to sixth in the Championship. Drivers will get another chance to score points in Sunday's United States Grand Prix
