Sergio Perez, Max Verstappen's teammate, has three more races to convince Red Bull that he also deserves to drive alongside the reigning world champion in 2025. The Mexican has not have an easy season, but he hopes to finish it well. During a press briefing before the Las Vegas Grand Prix, which GPblog also attended, Perez addressed the current situation.

There is a lot of talk about Perez and his future in Formula 1. Some think Red Bull should opt for another driver in 2025, while others think the Guadalajara-based driver deserves another year in Red Bull. Perez will get to prove himself in the 'Sin City' this weekend.

Perez on his difficult season

"At the end of the day, the team knows exactly what they get out of me. They have so much data and information. It's as simple as that. There's a reason why they renew me during the year as well," said a confident Perez in Nevada ahead of the Grand Prix weekend, where teammate Verstappen can grab the drivers' world championship.

"The season has been quite difficult in many ways," Checo continued. "We took different paths. We started the season extremely strong but then we had quite a difficult period throughout the year. It's just part of racing, and hopefully, we can close on a high these final three races."
