Williams to give British talent Luke Browning a chance in Abu Dhabi

Williams Racing have announced that Luke Browning will drive a Williams in Abu Dhabi. The talent who completed this season in Formula 3 and also participated in Formula 2 events after will get the chance to drive a Formula 1 car at an F1 weekend for the first time.

In Abu Dhabi, Luke Browning will both participated in FP1 and then in the Young Drivers Test, the team have announced. During the Abu Dhabi GP's first practice session, he will replace Alexander Albon. After Franco Colapinto tested the car at Silverstone (was before him replacing Logan Sargeant), the British team will now fulfill the quota of fielding a rookie driver in practice sessions.

In the 2024 season, Browning finished third in the F3 standings, and won the feature race in Bahrain and Austria. After that season concluded in Monza, he was also given a chance to join ART Grand Prix in F2, where he could already earn is first points in Baku.

I’ll be working hard to prepare and make the most of the opportunity," the young Briton said about the opportunity.
