F1 drivers reveal: Here is how Verstappen and Russell acted at dinner

Prior to the Formula 1 weekend in Abu Dhabi, nearly all 20 drivers sat down with each other at the end of year dinner. After the race in Abu Dhabi, the season will be over, so it was a time for the drivers to spend time together. Franco Colapinto, Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso and Valtteri Bottas talked about the event, and stated that Max Verstappen and George Russell sat as far away from each other as possible.
Verstappen and Russell were already locking horns after the Qatar race, but that continued in Abu Dhabi on Thursday. On the evening of that same day the dinner between all the drivers on the Formula 1 grid took place. Lando Norris shared a picture on his social media saying that Verstappen and Russell were indeed sitting as far away from each other as possible. Colapinto explained after qualifying for the race in Abu Dhabi that he enjoyed the dinner.

"It was good, yeah. Yes, the highlight of the dinner was Max and George, but sitting on the opposite side of the table, but the rest was all pretty good and I enjoyed it," the Williams driver told media, including GPBlog, after qualifying.
Hamilton also had a good time. "Yeah, it's been great. I'm really, really happy that we've been doing that. I'd asked Seb to ask the guys to get together for Seb's evening. That was truly special. And then we had the best time, so we set up each year and we've had a great time. It was really funny, obviously, with George," said the seven-time Formula One world champion.
Bottas paid the bill worth five thousand euros. "I think it's a nice tradition. Everyone is so busy always doing their own thing, at least once a year [to] get together and have a laugh, I really enjoyed it," the Finnish driver said. He also explained that no peace was made at the dinner between Max Verstappen and Goerge Russell. "No, no, not in that meeting. But there was one picture last night, they were next to each other and there was no fighting. So that's positive, so step by step."
