Williams junior driver and F3 title-challenger Browning stays in F2
Williams Racing Driver Academy member and F3 title-challenger Luke Browning will join the Hitech-Pulse Eight team in Formula 2 for next season, becoming the team's first confirmed driver for next season after driving the final three races of the F2 season.
The 22-year-old was a part of the F3 title battle that went down to the final race of the year at the Italian Grand Prix, competing for Hitech in the junior formula and having a super year as a part of that team, with two Feature Race wins and three podiums to his name in 2024.
He also gained some vital F2 experience before the 2025 season, with the Williams junior driver taking part in the final three rounds of the season at the Azerbaijan, Qatar and Abu Dhabi Grands Prix, scoring four points in the Feature Race at Baku and three points in the sprint race at the Yas Marina Circuit. Now, he will make the full-time step up.
Browning says move is an "important and special" moment
Browning said that the move to F2 has made him "so happy", and that being able to compete with Hitech, a team he has been a part of since 2022, is "incredibly important and special."
Hitech Team Manager Clive Hatton also spoke about this move, saying everyone in the team is "extremely proud" of the progression made by Browning. However, there is only one goal for next season: "To win the Formula 2 Championship."
