Red Bull teams up with Pitbull and steps into NASCAR
- Ludo van Denderen
Red Bull is returning to NASCAR. Fourteen years after the Austrians decided to lift their own team in the American class, the drinks manufacturer will become the main sponsor of Trackhouse Racing. Artist, Pitbull, is co-owner of this team.
Trackhouse already had two Red Bull athletes under contract as drivers. Shane van Gisbergen has been supported by the brand since 2016. Youngster Connor Zilisch (18) has been sponsored by the Austrians since last year. But not only does the Red Bull name appear on their overalls and caps from now on, it is also very clearly on the team's cars.
'Red Bull is best motorsport company in the world'
"It’s an incredible chapter in the history of Trackhouse Racing to welcome Red Bull back to NASCAR," said Justin Marks, founder and co-owner of Trackhouse. "Red Bull is one of the most powerful brands in the world and it’s an honor for us to embark on a partnership with such an iconic company."
"This is a huge win for our sport and a moment that will resonate with the millions of NASCAR fans around the world. I’m thrilled for Connor, Shane, and every member of Trackhouse to partner with who I consider to be the greatest motorsport company in the world. We are more than honored to welcome Red Bull to the Trackhouse Racing family," the American said.
