Two of the biggest topics in Formula 1 decided to reveal new 2025 details for the upcoming 2025 Formula 1 season. Max Verstappen launched his new helmet while McLaren took their MCL39 for a spin. In other F1 news, the people who attempted to blackmail the Schumacher family received their sentence in court.
Verstappen's new helmet
Max Verstappen joins the list of F1 drivers that have released their 2025 helmets ahead of the 2025 season. His new helmet will also be featured on his Verstappen.com website as a mini replica. Verstappen's helmet features some tiny details that look back on his past moments in Formula 1. On the back of his helmet, Verstappen has included four stars. Each star represents one of his world championships. On the top of his helmet rests his lion logo. The helmet also features the Dutch flag colours and has the colours in the exact flag ordered.

McLaren camouflages itself
At the Silverstone Circuit in England, McLaren ran a special camouflage livery. The livery was not the only thing special, as both McLaren drivers, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, had special racing suits for the day as well. The team swapped out their papaya orange for a dark grey/black variation to match their camoed car. McLaren also released a limited edition merchandise collection, taking the camouflaging one step further. The special livery is part of a build-up towards the F1 75 event taking place on the 18th of February at the O2 Arena in London.
Along with showing off their 2025 F1 car, they also confirmed the name. The MCL39. This update comes after teasing the name during the releasing of their engine sound.
Schumacher's blackmailers sentenced
It is well-known that the Schumacher family works hard to keep all news about Michael Schumacher out of the spotlight. However, an attempt was made against the family after someone tried to blackmail them. Now, the Schumachers can find a piece in the fact that those involved have received their sentence. Three men were involved in the blackmail attempt. One was sentenced to three years in prison, while the other two have been given suspended sentences. A former security guard for the family was given a suspended two-year prison sentence despite claiming to be innocent. The father and son duo involved also received time. Daniel L. received six months of suspended imprisonment, while Yilmaz T. (the father) received three years.
