Racing Bulls are a special team in Formula One, given their role in the Red Bull family. When asked about the synergy entering the 2025 season, team principal Laurent Mekies talked about the synergy between the two squads, and also reflected how opening a new headquarters in Milton Keynes can help his team moving forward.

"In terms of synergy with Red Bull, nothing has changed with the VCARB 02," Mekies began to several media outlets, including GPblog in London. "As we stated very many times, we do try to share what is within the regulations."

The team principal explained what they will get from Red Bull Racing. "It's the main components, we can share the gearbox, suspensions. We have decided to do it."

The Frenchman was also clear in what areas he wants to see his team take a step forward this season: "In terms of what we were looking for, I think there is a bit of two streams. In terms of characteristics, we wanted to have a car that performs a bit more consistently compared to last year. We had very good moments last year. We had more difficult races. So, in terms of overall targets, we have tried to understand what made our car not so consistent last year. And hopefully, we will be able to address some of that."

According to Mekies, while not every issue has been resolved already, the team are heading in a positive direction. Entering this year, the team now also have an office in Milton Keynes, on Red Bull's campus, where part of their operations began to take place on 2 January. "We have now two very good headquarters. So, the team is gelling together. A lot of people have joined."

"Is it ready yet to say that the car is up there? No. We don't think it's ready yet. We expect a tough first part of the season. But with the conviction that the direction of travel is the right one, so people are pulling together in the right direction," the team principal concluded.
