Newey's wife jokes about Aston Martin start: “See you in five years!"

Amanda Newey, Adrian Newey's wife, has playfully joked and commented on the first images of her husband starting his new role at Aston Martin, saying she is looking forward to seeing him again in about five years' time.
Newey's wife does not expect to see him for the time being
After Newey announced his departure from Red Bull Racing in 2024, a period of gardening leave, albeit short, followed, during which he was not allowed to do any work for his new employer. On Monday 3 March, Newey could officially begin working for his new F1 team, Aston Martin.
On Thursday, Aston Martin shared the first photo of the master designer since he started work at Silverstone. His wife, Amanda Newey, responded: "I can't wait to see you again, dear husband! Let's catch up in about five years time," she joked in a comment on X.
Newey previously indicated that he is mindful that team owner Lawrence Stroll will be happy to let him contribute to the updates for the 2025 car, but will focus mainly on the 2026 car. In particular, the designer will be able to influence the new design, with which Aston Martin hopes to compete for world titles when the new regulations come into force.
