Kelly Piquet prepares for baby: 'The countdown begins'
Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet probably won't have to wait long for the arrival of their first child together. It was recently announced that the baby will be born around April, and on Instagram, Kelly has hinted that she is getting ready for it.
At a Viaplay press event, Giedo van der Garde revealed that Verstappen and Piquet's baby will arrive in April, which was not known earlier. What is known is that the Dutchman will not skip a Grand Prix to be at the birth. Should the baby be born in April, the four-time world champion will have to hope it does not happen during a race weekend, with Grands Prix in Japan, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia all scheduled in the fourth month of the year.
Piquet hints at preparation for her baby
Kelly hinted on her Instagram profile about the baby, posting on her story a picture of her bag, with the text: "Time to go home and then we can start the countdown." Behind this text, she put an emoji of a chick crawling out of an egg.
It will no doubt be a hint at her final weeks of labour, meaning she will be preparing for the baby's arrival, probably preparing at their home in Monaco, where she lives with Verstappen and her baby daughter Penelope.
