Lando Norris "never believed" he could make F1
F1 News

McLaren star Lando Norris says that he never truly believed he would become an F1 driver until his move to McLaren was complete for the 2019 F1 season.
The 19-year old showed his talent in the lower categories, winning the Formula 3 championship in 2017 and finishing second to George Russell in Formula 2 last season.
However, despite his obvious ability at such a young age, Norris never expected to reach the top. He told RaceFans.net: "I always wanted to, but I [did] not always believe that I could do.
"I knew I was reasonably good, and I won races and some championships but it’s still not a guarantee you’re going to be in F1.
"I never believed I could get to F1 until I was told I was going to have the seat. I don’t know why, I just never believed it."
