Alex Peroni discharged from hospital after freak crash in Italy
Alex Peroni was launched into the air after his car ran over a sausage kerb at Monza. Peroni flipped his car and landed in the barrier. The 19-year-old Australian has now been discharged from hospital but he won't race in Formula 3 again this season.
According to Thomas Maher, a journalist, Peroni is traveling home to Tasmania and will be required to wear a back brace. He was sat in 20th place in the F3 championship with just one weekend remaining.
This crash comes after the fatal incident of Anthoine Hubert in Belgium.
He's fully aiming to be back in 2020, provided he's fully recovered and funding is in place. He has acknowledged that FIA safety improvements to helmets, head restraints, halo and chassis saved his life last weekend. #F3 #F1 #ItalianGP
