Carlos Sainz has a go in Zak Brown's Aussie supercar!
Carlos Sainz has been spending his time off by having a little bit of fun with McLaren team boss Zak Brown's collection of cars in Northern Spain, following a disappointing two weeks, with the Spaniard unable to add to his points tally in F1.
Sainz had an engine issue in Belgium and was forced to retire from a promising position in Italy with a loose wheel following his pit stop.
What better way to spend some time off than to drive your bosses collection of cars? Sainz has been enjoying himself in Navarra driving Brown's Bathurst winning Holden as well as Alan Jones' 1980 F1 car.
Brown told Motorsport.com:"He was faster than all of us.
"He was probably the least sideways of all of us. But he put the best time down. He loved it. He's pounding around it in pretty aggressively.
"Some drivers like to stick with what they know, but Carlos wants to drive everything. He's been in the [ex-Mario Andretti] Formula 5000 car today, he's about to ready to go out in my Alan Jones FW07 championship winning [F1] car."
