Ferrari called to the stewards for Leclerc fuel irregularity!
Ferrari have been called to the stewards for a fuel irregularity in Charles Leclerc's car before Sunday's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. It was reported that there was "a significant difference between the declaration of the team and the amount of fuel inside the car," in a technical delegate's report submitted to the stewards by Jo Bauer.
If found to be true, Leclerc may face a penalty or even disqualification, with Aston Martin Red Bull Racing team boss Christian Horner telling Sky Sports that Leclerc will likely face disqualification. The stewards will meet with Ferrari at 3:45pm UK time.
This would promote Valtteri Bottas onto the podium after starting at the back, completing what would've been a brilliant drive. Bottas battled with Leclerc in the dying laps but was unable to get himself ahead.
Updates to follow.
