Vettel knows what went wrong in 2019: "Reasons are clear, the lessons are clear"

After a disappointing season for both him as well as his team as a whole, Ferrari star Sebastian Vettel knows that change in approach is needed at his team as he finished Sunday's race in fifth place.
Vettel's 2019 has been a very difficult one, winning just one race and getting two pole positions while teammate Charles Leclerc took seven poles and two wins.
Sunday at the Yas Marina Circuit was difficult too for Vettel, who started on soft tyres and therefore had to pit early, dropping him down the order. The German managed to finish fifth.
"I would like to go in my room and get changed but I have to answer your questions first," he told Sky Sports after the race.
"We didn't have the year we were hoping for full stop. The reasons are clear, the lessons are clear and it's up to us to take them on board. As a team we must perform stronger, and as a individual I can do better it wasn't a great year from my side."
Ferrari were the centre of a lot of drama this season, with the relationship between Vettel and Leclerc seemingly reaching a boiling point in Brazil two weeks ago when they collided and had a double retirement.
"I don't think it was as bad it looks as there were many smalls things...
"But I know that I can do better and that's for sure the target for next year and hopefully we get a stronger package to fight at the front with Mercedes and Red Bull."
