New sponsorships appear to be popping up everywhere on the Formula 1 grid. Williams has lost and gained some, while Mercedes and McLaren have added to their stack. Now it's Aston Martin Red Bull Racing's turn.

Red Bull Racing will lose their title sponsor Aston Martin after the 2020 season. But it's not all bad news as on Monday afternoon they announced a new sponsor on their online channels. IRIS is a new technical partner of Red Bull Racing who are being bought in to help move the team forward.

“Formula One is a sport of marginal gains, and we never stop searching for new technology that will give us an edge. We’re delighted to partner IRIS, who offer us just that: greater clarity amid the uncertainty of the race track; more realism in the simulator and a pathway to greater relaxation when travelling. With a 22-race calendar this season, that’s going to be particularly valuable," Christian Horner said.

Innovation and development are central

IRIS is a company that was founded in 2018 and is working on an algorithm to bring natural sound qualities back into the digital format. This should ensure that there is more clarity through headphones, without having to increase the volume enormously. With less volume, IRIS must provide more relaxation and more intensive listening experience.

“IRIS is excited to be partnering with Aston Martin Red Bull Racing as their exclusive Audio Partner. Both companies have innovation and the peak of human and technological performance at the core of everything we do, which makes this the perfect partnership," their founder Jacobi Anthruther said.
