F1 game about absence Verstappen: 'You don't want to see him driving in the back'

Codemasters tried to organise a virtual Grand Prix for the Formula 1 drivers on the day of the Grand Prix of Bahrain, but that hasn't quite gotten off the ground yet. Now it was mainly eSporters and racers from other classes.
F1 game without F1 drivers
According to Paul Jeal, that will have to improve in the future. At the moment it was arranged at short notice and a lot of people had different stuff, but for next weekend that should be in order. According to the top man of the company that makes the official F1 game every year, this will help in publicity.
One notable absent was Max Verstappen. The Dutchman participates a lot in simraces, but had little appetite for a race on the game of Codemasters. He never plays that game and didn't feel like riding in the back. Jeal hopes to be able to attract Verstappen in the future.
Verstappen absent
''Everyone has their own way of gaming and you can only spend a certain amount of time on a game. Imax is doing a lot of iRacing and rFactor for Team Redline and that's where he wants to shine in the competition," says Jeal in conversation with Racefans.net.
That's why the eSports racers took part and left again, so the choice of Verstappen didn't seem that crazy. However, Jeal would prefer to have all 20 drivers at the start, but get Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel so crazy that they are going to participate.
''I hope that more people will participate in the upcoming races and that the 'real racers' can actually compete for victory. That way we can also attract more fans. I don't want the F1 drivers to be destroyed by the eSporters', Jeal concludes.
