Horner: ''When the lights are out, it's all about the racing''

In July the Formula 1 season finally starts with the first Austrian Grand Prix. Two races will be held on the Red Bull Ring and one team that is obviously very happy with this is of course Red Bull Racing.
Outside the track it's different
After the Australian Grand Prix was cancelled at the very last minute, there hasn't been a race in 2020. Formula 1, just like the rest of the world, stands still because of the coronavirus. Now that rules in several countries are being relaxed again, the sport can slowly start again, although it does look different than before.
''It will be very different than usual, but once the lights go out it's all about racing and that will be the same as always. However, the environment will be a bit different than normal, but the battles and the battle on the track will only be better, because everyone can focus their attention on that," says Christian Horner in conversation with Motorsport-total.com.
Finally racing again
''Red Bull has worked hard to get the Grand Prix started in Austria and this should immediately be a blueprint for the other races in Europe. If things run smoothly in Austria, then other races can learn from this," says Horner, who is looking forward to racing itself.
''I'm looking forward to racing again. We have a good car for this season and it's a pity we couldn't show it in Australia. However, the whole team is motivated for this strange season what's ahead'', Horner concludes. Red Bull won the last two races in Austria with Max Verstappen and is therefore heading for the start of the season with confidence.
