Ferrari is going to tackle technical staff: "These changes need to be made"
- GPblog.com
For a long time it looked like Ferrari was going to adjust things within the structure of the company. In the week between the Hungarian Grand Prix and the double Grands Prix at Silverstone, the team decided to make changes within the company. Within the leadership some positions change, but Mattia Binotto remains team boss.
Enrico Cardile will lead the performance department within the Ferrari team. For the rest of the departments, the original team leader will continue to do their work. Binotto himself indicates that these changes had to be made in order to promote the development of the car. "As indicated a few days ago, we are making changes on the technical side of the team".
Best for the team
"We do this in order to speed up the design and development of car performance. A change of direction was necessary to clarify the roles of everyone, while it is important to keep the confidence of Ferrari. The part that will now be taken over by Enrico Cardile can count on the experience of several team members".
"That experience will be tremendously important for the development of the car. We believe that our staff is of the highest level and that we all have the same goal, but we had to make these changes because of the responsibility of the management. We started to build a new layer and that should lead to a new way of working. It will certainly take time and we will certainly encounter problems, but we have to respond to our shortcomings in order to get back to level as soon as possible, that's what we all want," Binotto concludes.
