Coronel sees opportunities for Verstappen: ''Drivers are going to make mistakes''

The Grand Prix of Tuscany is coming up and this is the first time that Formula 1 will use the circuit of Mugello for a race weekend. The question is which team will float up here and which team will go into the fog without dates?
For the first time in the history of Formula 1, the circus goes to Mugello. The circuit in Tuscany, often used by MotoGP, now serves as a stage for the 1000th Ferrari race. It is therefore no coincidence that Ferrari already did a filming day on their own circuit earlier this season.
Verstappen back on the podium?
According to Tom Coronel, the fact that many teams don't know anything about this circuit is going to play an important role. ''Half of the drivers have never driven here before and the engineers have no data at all. Those few training sessions are then too short to collect enough data. I really expect chaos. Drivers will make mistakes and the teams will choose different strategies. This can be a spectacular race'', says the racing driver to NU.nl.
The Dutch racing driver also has more confidence in a good result for Max Verstappen. ''We knew Monza wouldn't be good for Red Bull, but in Mugello we will see the usual order again. Mercedes in front and Verstappen on three. You have to be realistic, because that is the maximum for Verstappen. However, this circuit suits Red Bull well'', Coronel concludes.
