Marko: "It is good for F1 that Vettel stays"
- GPblog.com
Sebastian Vettel leaves Scuderia Ferrari after an, what may be said, unhappy marriage. The four-time world champion has not seen a title approaching since entering the Scuderia. He now leaves for Aston Martin in 2021. Helmut Marko is only too happy about it.
Vettel big player in F1
Vettel achieved four world titles with Red Bull Racing. In those years the team was also the best constructor. Not only because of this, Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko is happy that Vettel stays in F1, but also simply because of his role in the sport.
In conversation with F1-insider.com Marko says: "It is good that Sebastian has finally decided. I think it is great that he will stay with us in Formula 1. It is very good for the sport that we do not lose a four-time world champion".
Good acquisition for Aston Martin
Racing Point is doing very well in F1 this year under somewhat dubious conditions. Next year the team will continue as Aston Martin. Much is expected of the ambitious team set up by Lawrence Stroll.
Adding Sebastian Vettel to the drivers' collection is a good move. Marko: "Aston Martin will be a lot stronger with him. And competition is good for business in the end".
