Lewis Hamilton has just secured his seventh F1 world title, equaling the record set by Michael Schumacher. The Brit was clearly emotional afterwards.
About his seventh world title: “I'm never going to get sick of hearing that! that. I've done a lot of races, but this was a really good one. Of course, I didn't know what to expect today and I altered my approach every now and then. Today it was really like: go for it and have fun. It's very slippery and no one knows what's going to happen. What is important now is to enjoy the moment because it could just be your last," Hamilton said in conversation with Ziggo Sport.
Don't reflect yet
“Right now is not the time to reflect. I want to enjoy it now. No one knows what's going to happen, the world is going through a difficult phase right now. That's why I think it's very important to cherish the moments we get. That's what I'm going to try and do. Embrace the people around me.
“I am very grateful to all my fans and also for those who don't support me, I still appreciate that you support this sport. I hope everyone stays safe and positive through this difficult year. It will get better," said the 2020 world champion.
