Perez hopes for Red Bull: 'Didn't come to F1 to win just one race'

Max Verstappen's teammate at Red Bull Racing in 2021 is still undecided. Sergio Perez has had a good chance for a long time now and after his victory last week he is putting more pressure on Helmut Marko. Although Perez himself says that the victory in Sakhir does not guarantee him a seat.
It has been the talk of the town for weeks in the Formula 1 paddock. Who will be the teammate of Verstappen in 2021? Alexander Albon generally disappoints too much, but has not yet been shown the door by Red Bull. Perez puts himself in the spotlight reasonably well through good performances on the track and thus challenges Albon's seat. But is of the opinion that victory doesn't aid his chances.
Odds of a seat at Red Bull
"I’m a strong believer that in Formula 1, one race doesn’t really change your life," says Perez according to RaceFans.net. "in the last 10 years, weekend after weekend, year by year, always having ups and downs but always coming to the year-end with strong results."
The Mexican still doesn't have a seat for 2021 and hopes he can be sure soon. "I’m not fully in control of my future at the moment. It’s something that bothers you, obviously, any human being in this position will struggle a bit," Perez continues. The Racing Point driver hopes to return to F1 in 2022 if he doesn't get a seat before 2021. "I definitely didn’t come to Formula 1 to win [one] race only."
