Looking back at the recently concluded Portuguese Grand Prix, satisfied team principal Toto Wolff states that, although Lewis Hamilton drove an excellent race, it wasn't easy for the British driver. In an interview immediately after the race the team boss reacted to the victory.
"Excellent race," Wolff begins his analysis of Hamilton's race, this his conversation with Sky Sports. "He seemed to have it under control the whole race."
On polesitter Bottas' fast start, Wolff said, "Valtteri had real pace at the start and you could see it was difficult for Lewis to overtake him, but in the end he managed to get past."
Fiercely fought
Wolff also knows how tough the race has been for Hamilton, this from his voice over the on-board radio. "You could hear in his voice how much he was pushing, it was never a situation that he could let go because the gap was too small and all the drivers were pushing so much you could see the movement back and forth," Wolff said.
