Update | Leclerc will not start the Monaco Grand Prix after gearbox issue
- GPblog.com
Ferrari seemed confident with Charles Leclerc's gearbox. They thought that, after the crash in Q3, the gearbox wasn't damaged too badly. After his first warm up lap towards the grid, things are looking a lot worse for the man on pole. Leclerc will not start the race. The man from Monaco has always had bad luck at this venue. He hasn't seen the chequered flag in any race in Monte Carlo.

Ferrari took the car back to the garage, but they couldn't make it back out before the pitlane closed. Leclerc will therefore not start the Monaco Grand Prix. The team confirmed: "Charles will not start the race due to an issue with the left driveshaft which is impossible to fix in time for the start of the race."
