Hamilton reacts to poor Mercedes strategy in Monaco
Mercedes opted to pit Lewis Hamilton earlier than most of the field. Hamilton was slower on the hard tyres than some cars coming in on the soft tyres and therefore the seven-time World Champion lost ground.
Mercedes review
The Mercedes will be undertaking a review following the weekend. They weren't quick enough around the streets of Monaco, but Hamilton is keen the team work together to try and improve.
"The pitstop cost us three places. I don't really have a reaction to it. I think we'll do our discussions in the background and we'll work together to try and come out of this stronger. We underperformed as a team this weekend from the get-go. So we'll just put our focus on to the next race. Congratulations to Max and his team," Hamilton told Sky Sports.
"It's another street circuit. Another one that we can easily struggle at. So we've got to work and see how we can minimise that loss."
